The Valuation Appeal Panel

Appeal Hearings

The Renfrewshire Valuation Appeal Panel is constituted to deal with Appeals against entries in The Valuation Roll and The Council Tax List (Valuation List).

The Panel and its members are completely independent of the Assessor and the three constituent Councils. Appointments are made by the Sheriff Principal.

The Secretary to the Panel is responsible for the scheduling of Appeal Hearings, the citation of Appeals to be heard and the conduct of the Appeal Hearings themselves.

The secretary is a local solicitor.

A list of Appeals to be heard will be posted in advance of a Hearing, at the same time as a citation is issued to the Appellant (or the Appellant's agent). The timetable varies between Rating and Council Tax Appeals.

Appeal Hearings will normally take place at The David Lloyd Centre in Renfrew.
